The African Development Bank’s Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) is conducting an evaluation of the Bank’s support for gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE) as part of its 2025–2027 work program. This evaluation will assess the Bank’s progress in gender mainstreaming, results achieved, challenges faced, and the effectiveness of its policies, strategies, and institutional frameworks in contributing to gender equality results. The findings will inform the implementation of GEWE priorities under the Bank’s Ten-Year Strategy 2024–2033 and the forthcoming Gender Action Plan. IDEV seeks to engage a consulting firm with proven expertise in gender, evaluation, and Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) to undertake this assignment.
