The Bank recognizes regional integration’s transformative potential to unlock economies of scale, enhance competitiveness, and foster inclusive, sustainable development. Guided by its regional integration strategic framework (RISF), the Bank advances integration by investing in infrastructure, trade, financial integration and mobility, while facilitating the free movement of goods, services, people, and capital across Africa. The RDRI supports this by mainstreaming regional integration into the Bank's strategies and operations, financing regional operations, providing technical advisory services, and publishing flagship analytical tools like the Africa Visa Openness Index, the Africa Regional Integration Index and the Assessing Regional Integration in Africa report – together with partners at the African Union Commission and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
To that end, RDRI is looking for a consultant to develop a ToolKit for Mainstreaming Regional Integration in Bank Operations. This Toolkit will offer practical guidance for Bank staff, partners, and stakeholders to integrate regional integration considerations systematically into project designs, policy frameworks, and strategic interventions. In addition, the selected consultants should have knowledge and experience on regional integration.
