The Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) has received financing from the African Development Bank Climate Action Window toward the cost of the Climate Resilience for Sustainable Maritime Transport Infrastructure in Lake Victoria Basin (CRESTI- LVB) Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Individual Consultancy to Prepare Detailed Engineering Designs, Specifications and Cost Estimates for the CRESTI-LVB Project Infrastructure Investments.
The services included under this project enhance climate resilience through strengthened absorptive and adaptive capacity of Lake Victoria's maritime transport infrastructure to climate change-related shocks and stresses, thereby facilitating the sustainable socio-economic development of the Lake Victoria Basin in the East Africa region. The proposed CRESTI-LVB project is expected to be implemented over three (3) years.
