Africa’s agriculture and food systems have faced severe disruptions from overlapping global shocks, prompting the African Development Bank to establish the African Emergency Food Production Facility (AEFPF) in 2022 as a rapid response to avert an imminent food crisis. Anchored in the TAAT technology delivery architecture and aligned with the Feed Africa Strategy, AEFPF supported millions of smallholder farmers with access to certified seeds, fertilizers, extension services, and digital platforms to boost food production and resilience. To consolidate results and strengthen institutional learning, the Bank seeks to engage Junior Consultant Analysts to support the finalization of AEFPF, including preparation of the Project Completion Report, documentation of results and lessons learned, and development of high-quality knowledge and communication products that enhance evidence-based policy dialogue and the Bank’s visibility in food systems transformation.
