The objective of the assignment is to update the Regional Power System Master Plan (RPSMP) for the EAPP region (including prospective members) for the period 2026 – 2046. Through the process the member countries’ master plans need to be updated. The regional master plan shall identify the priority power generation projects and associated transmission infrastructure investments that can provide reliable electricity supply to the region in an efficient, environmentally and socially sustainable manner and support integration and power trade in the EAPP region. The Consultant with the support of the EAPP technical experts prepares a short-term (10 year) plan up to 2036 and a long-term (20 year) plan up to 2046. The consultant should use the models developed for the continental master plan study (CMP). For this reason, they are expected to use SPLAT—MESSAGE software for the generation planning and the MAED model for the load forecast.
